Thank you for popping by! I’m Monika, a mum and family photographer who recently relocated to the beautiful Newcastle Upon Tyne after six years in London as a full-time photographer.
I offer natural and relaxed lifestyle photography for families in the Tyne & Wear area. My photoshoots are laid-back and can take place in your home, outdoors in a local park, or by the seaside!
During our session, we have a jolly good time laughing, playing, tickling, and enjoying some quality moments with your loved ones. It’s all about capturing those genuine emotions, love, connections, and those sweet in-between moments.
No worries if you’re shy or not a fan of having your picture taken—I’m here to help you capture wonderfully natural and beautiful portraits. I put a lot of heart into every single photoshoot, tailoring it to your family’s needs. My aim is to give you photos that you’ll proudly display on your walls.

THE PROCESS
FAMILY PHOTOSHOOT – AN ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE FROM BEGINNING TO END
Before your family session
To secure your booking I’ll send a quick contract and invoice. I’ll also ask you to fill out a questionnaire to understand your expectations better. Based on your answers and a chat, I’ll create a personalised photoshoot plan. You’ll also receive a prep guide with tips on what to wear and how to prepare.
During your family session
My goal is to create a stress-free and fun atmosphere during your photoshoot, capturing beautiful and timeless keepsakes that you’ll treasure for years to come. I will provide guidance on how to pose and offer gentle direction, but we’ll keep things relaxed and natural.
After your family session
I will carefully select and edit all the best photographs from your newborn session, creating a beautiful story of your growing family to cherish forever. Each image will be edited in color and also in black and white versions. You will also have the option to order the highest quality locally handcrafted albums, prints, and wall art.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Bookings are accepted up to 6 months ahead, with limited sessions each month for the best experience. For family sessions, it’s ideal to book 1-3 months ahead to secure your spot. Don’t worry if it’s short notice – I’ll try my best to accommodate you, but planning ahead is advised due to limited availability. Book early to avoid disappointment!
Your home is perfect just as it is! We don’t need much, just access to some windows for natural light. Whether your home is a studio apartment or a grand mansion, it’s ideal for capturing beautiful moments with your family. Embracing your home as part of the images will make them even more special and personal to you.
Don’t fret if you’re a bit shy or feel awkward when it comes to posing for photos – you’re in good company! I totally get it because I’ve been there too. I’ll make every effort to ensure you’re relaxed and enjoying the photo session. I’ll offer some friendly tips on posing and create chances for you to be yourself, so we can capture those real, heartfelt moments.
The best time for an outdoor photo session is typically early in the morning or late in the evening, when the natural light is soft and diffuse. For in-home sessions, mid-morning is typically a good time to schedule.It’s also important to keep in mind the needs of any children who will be participating in the session, and to schedule the session at a time when they are rested, fed, and happy.
Clothing can make or break a shoot, so it’s a good idea to choose items that complement each other. Opt for plain, muted-tone clothing in neutral or earthy colors. Stick with simple, classic, timeless outfits that won’t steal the spotlight from your family. After booking, I’ll share a prop guide with additional tips for achieving the best photos
Living by the beautiful North England seaside, we’re no strangers to rain and wind – they add to our unique charm! If there’s a light drizzle, let’s have a playful photoshoot. For heavy rain or strong winds, we can find a better day. We can also capture meaningful moments in your home for a special touch.
No worries, we are only people and things like that migh happen. If you or anyone in your family falls ill before the scheduled photo session, please let me know as soon as possible so that we can reschedule.
