Autumn is such a magical season, and there’s nothing better than capturing its beauty in a maternity session. This Sunday morning, just steps away from my home in Great Park, Newcastle, I had the pleasure of photographing a lovely couple expecting their baby in 2025. The soft autumn light, warm hues of fallen leaves, and the golden long grass created the perfect setting for this relaxed and romantic photoshoot.
A Sunday Morning Full of Love and Anticipation
The session felt calm and easygoing, which is how I like it to be. The couple were so excited about their baby, and it was lovely to capture their happiness. We didn’t have to go far, just wandering through the long grass and stopping under trees with golden autumn leaves. Everything felt very natural, which made the photos even more meaningful.
Why Great Park is So Special
Great Park is a fantastic place to live and work. It’s calm and surrounded by nature, with plenty of trees, bushes, grass, and even small river. There are lots of paths to explore, which makes it perfect for walking, whether you’ve got a dog or just want some fresh air. On this particular morning, the area was almost empty apart from a few dog walkers, which made it feel even more special.
This neighbourhood isn’t just great for maternity shoots—it’s also perfect for family and branding sessions. The mix of open spaces and little hidden spots means there’s always a nice backdrop, no matter the type of photoshoot.
